Building AI knowledge

When a new technological paradigm emerges, the flood of information invading the digital agora is like fog in a library. That's why we follow specific stages to learn and apply technologies.

Technology

Step by step, like building a house of cards

To offer truly innovative software solutions, it is essential to be at the forefront of knowledge and research. However, when a new technological paradigm breaks through, the amount of information flooding the digital agora is like fog in a library. That’s why we present the three stages we follow to learn and apply AI technologies in our processes.

In this case, we integrated Whisper, an artificial intelligence voice recognition model, to develop a tool that transcribes audio to text in just a few minutes with a high degree of precision and efficiency.

1- We dive into knowledge: We build on a theoretical foundation

Our process is always centered around constant learning and exploration. Whenever we plan to incorporate a new tool or technology, the first thing we do is immerse ourselves in the existing documentation, review scientific papers, or even watch YouTube videos that help us understand the fundamental principles of the technology we want to apply. This theoretical foundation allows us to have an initial work plan and filter out the noise of false technological promises and the bazaar of mediocre products.

Then, we conduct in-depth research on the tool we want to integrate. We’re not just interested in understanding how it’s implemented, but also in evaluating its cost, the efficiency it can offer, and its long-term benefits. It’s always important to allow yourself to question the official documentation: test it. We know that in the world of technology, a detailed analysis of these factors can make the difference between a successful investment and an ineffective one.

2- We experience the future: We test the technology

Once we’ve gathered all the necessary information, we move on to the proof of concept. This phase is crucial because it allows us to validate the technology’s effectiveness in a controlled environment before fully integrating it. After validating its functionality and performance, we proceed to apply it to the final product.

3- The real application of what’s been researched: We bring the technology into our processes

During this research and development process, at Grava, we follow two key paradigms: on one hand, real-world application, ensuring that the technologies we adopt have a tangible and practical impact in the real world. On the other hand, we always maintain a focus on the theoretical concept of scientific research, striving to ensure that our solutions are backed by solid principles.

Additionally, in this technological exploration journey, we bet on the use of open-source tools like Hugging Face, Ollama, and Whisper, which allow us to experiment with cutting-edge artificial intelligence models without the limitations of proprietary solutions.

The use of open technologies gives us the flexibility to test, modify, and optimize each tool according to our specific needs. It also contributes to the global innovation ecosystem, as we not only leverage the shared knowledge of the community but can also offer improvements and advancements.

In summary, at Grava, our commitment to the future is not only based on adopting new technologies but doing so intelligently and with a solid foundation. We invest in open-source tools that allow us to innovate with greater freedom, using a rigorous approach based on research and knowledge. This way, we not only create innovative products but also contribute to the development of a more promising and technological future.
